What I'm Thankful For This Year

Hello! Yes, we are alive and doing well. In fact, we have been so busy that I have completely neglected the blog for almost 2 months.  I PROMISE to start doing better.  I have so much to catch up on, I'm completely overwhelmed with where to start, but hoping to get some blogging done over the next week.  Anyway, every year I post what I'm most thankful for.  This year I'm doing it again. :-)

I'm thankful for...

A God that loves me and continues to give me more than I deserve.

A husband that works hard to provide for our family and is a wonderful Daddy to our child. We have been together over 12 years and it has certainly been an adventure!

The most adorable 3 year old I know. It is truly an honor to have been chosen as his mother.  I can't imagine my life without him. I am grateful for his health, love of life, and enthusiasm.

Parents that have continue to make sacrifices for me and my family. They also have shown me how to have a faith based marriage and home.  They also taught me how to manage a career and family. I'm forever thankful for those things.

An extended family that has always been there for me, especially my cousins who are more like siblings than cousins.

The overall health of my Nana. She has dementia, but overall healthy for her age. I'm very thankful to spend another holiday season with the person who was my first friend and always my biggest fan!

Eight years at a job that I love that  provides for my family and allows me to have a career in nursing, but also stability of a set schedule with no holidays!

Two amazing trauma surgeons I am blessed to call my bosses. They have become family and have taught me so much.

Lots of good food on our table and a housefull of family to enjoy it!

Continuing a 28 year tradition of Black Friday shopping with my mom but on Thanksgiving night (go ahead, judge away!)

Spending Thanksgiving morning with my child on the couch watching a parade I have loved since I was a child.

That my dad got the chance to return to coaching and for the players that we have gotten to know and love over the last eighteen months. We are also thankful for their great season this year with minimal injuries and a great playoff run!

My mom celebrated her 35th year at her job in October (which deserves its own post later)

I am also thankful for the blog and twitter friends who have become good friends!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
